Prexis Side-fed AR-15 (7.62x25 tokarev)

08/31/2016 - UPDATE!!! Six years later, see my actual review of this garbage rifle and why you should avoid anything built by Prexis.

Months ago I was driving across Round Rock in my car when I heard a song on the radio.  It sounded like some black, spiritual, church-type music.  There was random hollering and phrases such as "praise the LAWD" interjected throughout the song.  There was clapping too.  Not the type of music I'd put on my iPod, but I gotta admit it was kinda catchy for what it was.  I forget what the song was about exactly, but the chorus was something about gathering around the dinner table and eating collared greens, cornbread, chicken and other types of soul food.

If you have no idea what the hell song I'm talking about then you probably think I'm making this stuff up based on racial stereotypes but I'm not!  I ended up googling the only lyrics I could remember which were "let's all eat," but all I could find was this funny parody of Marilyn Manson's 'Mobscene' entitled 'Slobscene'.

I forgot where I was going with all this, so here's some pictures of my new Prexis 7.62x25 Tokarev AR15 (the Super Secret Project I talked about in the previous post).  It's definitely a work-in-progress because I can't get it to feed right and I think it needs a 6.5 ounce buffer because I've been getting some scary brass fragmenting/case-head separations.  The first 10-20 or so rounds cycled fine (but would jam on feeding), which led me to believe it's not a head-space issue.  I'm guessing the ejector blade got bent which causes the bolt to bind against it and not close all the way.  Normally I'd post a project like this on my other blog but I have too many unfinished works on there.
