Freakin' hilarious

Nearly every other night, for the past week, someone has been pulling the fire alarm in the barracks.  We have to have everyone evacuate, organize into our sections and get a count.  This takes about thirty minutes for some reason.  Then we have to wait for the base firetrucks to come in to make sure there's no fire.  It's also 20 degrees outside with freezing wind.

Pics of my barracks

I suppose I'm lucky at Hospital Corps A School, at Great Lakes Naval Air Station.  At least I wasn't put into the 'Roach Motel,' which houses six-eight people per room.  The bathroom head is right around the corner near the entrance, which is shared with another room similar to ours.  Me and my roommate each have a closet and shelf unit thingy to store stuff.  This is what the room has to look like for inspection before we leave for class each morning (just pretend that box isn't there).

The female barracks had really nice apartments.  It had a living room, kitchen with full-size refrigerator, a bathtub, and raised bed with a desk to study underneath.  What a load of crap.
